job description general summary
provides custom integration implementation support on emc products involving software, at the customer site, including pre-site inspection, initial installation, implementation, customization, integration and outline orientation for the customer.
seeks advice or assistance from ts management and/or cs technical support as required during difficult customer situations. considered an expert in the implementation and use of emc sofwtare and hardware products. successfully manages relations with customers utilizing well-developed negotiation and influencing skills to acquire the internal and external resources necessary for optimal results.
installs emc sofwtare products in a mainframe and/or open systems hardware envirnoment per the specifications in the statement of work, architecture design document or proejct manager direction, scope document.ensures that all proejct communication with the customer goes through the engagement project manager
prepares, maintains and submits activity/progress reprots and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures.
performs according to established safety standards. acts as a mentor and assists or presents training development environments to peers, customers and other organizations.
abliity to influence others to achieve results.emc proven professional certification desired.maintains and reports any travel and expense actiivties which are re-billable to the customer based on the engagement\'\'s statement of work,
tracks.trains customer personnel when authorized by ts management. capable of working with minimal supervision.

principal duties and responsibilities
represents emc in a professional manner to customers, emc partners and other emc personnel at all times. knowledgeable of industry best practices in the implementation of complex storage environments. works in conjunction with emc cs or ts colleagues to ensure effective resolution of technical issues encountered during implementations.corporate technical support and the customer to ensure a smooth implementation and transition from start-up to integration/production mode, project managers and other ts personnel, works closely with emc sales, customer service.project managers and solutions architects in developing scopes of work and project plans, supports program managers.
organizational skills.provides support and instruction to less experienced co-workers, through classroom training sessions or on-the-job mentoring.
analytical ability.may be required to act as project manager on less complex implementations.provides updates to emc case tracking system and or other technical applications for software implementation and problem reporting/resolution.
