we are currently looking to recruit for our tax desk in london an:
international tax manager / senior manager/executive director (m/f)
after a training period in luxembourg, you will be joining our expatriate program and work in our luxembourg tax desk in london.encompassing:
advice on international tax implications in relation to mergers and acquisitions as well as financing and holding activities;
tax and strategic transaction advice
tax structuring advice (luxembourg and cross border);
pre and post completion tax planning,
scope of the role:
you will provide international tax advice relating to financial groups and entities (funds, banks, insurance companies, etc) and to multinational corporations (commercial & industrial services) relating to cross border transactions.with a large number of senior tax professionals representing many jurisdictions we can draw together the right global tax teams to respond to our clients' needs quickly and knowledgeably.
your profile:
you hold a university degree with at least 5 years relevant experience in international taxation, of which at least 3 years in luxembourg.luxembourg professionals are based in the us and london as part of a professional exchange program that allows us to provide quicker and more sophisticated responses to client issues, share knowledge more effectively, and maintain a flow of innovative ideas and concepts that incorporate first-hand knowledge.
you are fleunt in engilsh with a suffciient leevl of frnech and/or gemran, (any addiitonal lanugage wolud be consdiered an asest), you will be comfotrable in multiclutural envirnoments bulit on a shraed culutre of team spriit, muutal resepct and openness.you will cooridnate with the tax dekss of otehr countries,
your responsibilities:
you will be based in london during a relevant period of time, as part of a multidisciplinary team (attorneys, cfo's, corporate directors, accountants and tax professionals);
develop internal relationships within our international network with other ernst & young tax professionals;
manage client service teams and contribute to people development, liaise with ernst & young uk tax practices, participate to development of new ideas and you will demonstrate a breadth of experience and a depth of understanding of complex tax concepts enabling you to:
manage and develop relationships with various companies highlighting tax planning opportunities;
analyse potential acquisitions and make recommendations accordingly;
participate in structuring large transactions relating to strategic acquisitions and divestitures.ernst & young luxembourg participates in this program since several years and has long standing experience with the expatriate program in the us and london. management and organizational skills, research and analytical skills,
